The event began with a delicious Chris Cakes breakfast that was served at Iron Eagle Customs in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and provided by Schmitt Mulhern, LLC -- Personal Injury Attorneys.  Registration fee was $20 per rider and $10 per passenger and included a poker run card and event T-shirt. Extra poker run cards and T-shirts were only $10 each. Poker run prizes included a leather jacket for the high poker hand, $50 for the low poker hand. The 47-mile all-Missouri ride included stops at Knobtown Cycles in Kansas City, Deadye Choppers in Claycomo, Bear’s Hiway Classics in Avondale, Hardcore Customs in Gladstone, and The Landing Eatery & Pub in Liberty where the ride concluded. At the Landing, Old No. 5’s provided live music, live and silent auctions featured many nice items, raffle prizes were drawn for, and there was a bikini bike wash.

According to information provided by Pete who was one of Radar’s best friends, the top hand prize went to Debbie Carter (Club flush-ace high) and the low hand $50 winner was Frank Carrillo. There were 69 riders, 23 passengers, and 24 volunteers, and St. Jude’s received $2,300.

In spite of a very pessimistic weather forecast, the day began with warmth and clear skies and gradually clouded up and cooled off. By the end of the event, a light drizzle was just beginning to fall. It was a great day and raised funds for a very worthy charity. St. Judes is a leader in the fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
