Our October 2012 cover bike is owned by Timothy Bivens, and his 2005 Big Bear Venom ProStreet was selected as the winning bikes at our Cover Bike Search at the Brass Rail in Kansas City, Missouri.

Timothy is from Kansas City, Missouri, and we had the opportunity to gather more information about him and his 2005 Big Bear Venom ProStreet. We photographed cover model search winner Michelle, on his bike for this month’s cover.

CC: Timothy, what is your occupation?

Timothy: I’m the Manager of Terminal Operations at the Union Pacific Railroad.

CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?

Timothy: Yes. Hunting and beer.

CC: Why do you ride?

Timothy: Because I can.

CC: How long have you been riding?

Timothy: I started riding street bikes about four years ago.

CC: What was your first bike?

Timothy: My first bike was a 2008 Harley-Davidson Rocker.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?

Timothy: Two.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?

Timothy: Just this one, that’s on the cover.

CC: What do you like most about your Big Bear Chopper?

Timothy: It’s loud, it turns head, and I haven’t passed another one like it yet.

CC: What is your dream bike?

Timothy: Not sure yet, still dreaming.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?

Timothy: My first ride back to Arkansas to see my family. It’s amazing how a trip on a motorcycle differs from one in a vehicle.

CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?

Timothy: Having a driver not paying attention pull out in front of me a couple of years ago. I can think of a lot of things I would rather do than hit the side of another Chevy Blazer.

CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, and which is your favorite?

Timothy: Local events mostly, such as the ABATE Rally at Perry Lake. That’s about as far as I’ve ventured out for a rally.

CC: What is your favorite bike night location?

Timothy: Not sure if I have a favorite, but it seems like we make it to Stables, The Red Eye, and Worth Harley-Davidson quite a bit.

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?

Timothy: I enjoy riding in small groups around town. It makes going to bike nights and other local events more enjoyable.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?

Timothy: I ride with a couple of friends I work with and a couple of their friends and so on and so on.

CC: Is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

Timothy: I would just like to thank the staff at Cycle Connections for the opportunity to be on the cover of the magazine and the hard work everyone puts into it.

CC: Thanks for the interview Timothy, and thank you for letting us shoot your bike for this month’s cover.
