The 2018 Great Smokey Mountain H.O.G Rally, Maryville, Tennessee

Written by  June 28, 2018

Close to 4000 H.O.G members converged on the city of Maryville, Tennessee on May the 31st for the Great Smokey Mountain H.O.G Rally.

Rider’s Harley-Davidson in Trussville, Alabama was one of probably several locations that had groups leaving out to make the trip up to the Rally by way of the scenic route of over 250 miles of back-roads and up through the “Devils Triangle” to show their H.O.G support and join in the weekend of festivities, exhibitions, games, rides, music, food and of course, good ole biker fellowship.

Once there, they had several rides to participate in such as “The Manhattan Project Ride”, the "Travel Back in Time Motorcycle History Ride” and the spectacular "100 Million Dollar Cherohala Skyway Ride" and a guided ride to the speedway for the Harley Hooligan Race, which was held on Saturday.

Noise Cycles, Suicide Machine Co. and Rusty Butcher were among the racers participating in the Hooligan Race.

Bubba Boswell won the amateur class and Chris Boone took home the win for the singles and the Hooligan Open, benefiting the Maryville Police Athletics League.

There was a “Pig's vs. Hog's" competition and apparently the Pigs came to compete, because they left the rally- the victors!

John Burnett, Mark Roberts and Marnie Barnes were the winners of the Black Bear Poker Run.

The “Downtown Maryland Bash” strolled down Broadway entertaining rally goers and “Green River” (a CC Tribute band) was on stage at “The Shed”.

Thanks to rally coordinator, Tim Hartley for a successful rally.

And Thanks to Jo Ann Hartley and Lisa and Gary Townsend for sharing pictures with us!
