There were a couple of the ride t-shirts that all of the participants signed to give to the wives, (Michelle and Brandy) of the fallen offers that were in attendance. The two officers being honored were, officer Keith Turner, who lost his life while protecting his city on June the 27th, 1998, and Lt. Stephen Williams who while on a domestic violence call on June the 2nd, 2020, was senselessly killed, never to return home to his own family.
There were a record number of folks that made this ride last year and close to it this year. After gathering for a prayer for a safe ride, the city of Moody escorted the hundreds of folks out and through many neighborhoods as they encountered so many people on the side of the roads and in front of their house, out waving and flying their flags of support for their hero's. So much love and support pouring out that it brought chills and I'm sure, a few tears. It was an awesome sight and an awesome feeling.
We appreciate the addition of the cool shots from Jamie Levan.
