Each of the kids had little gift bags and crafts to make and take home. Lowe's here in Trussville has gotten really involved with our Zoo Run events and donated a whole bunch of little D.I.Y kits, goggles and aprons for the kids to work with, we actually had SO many of them that we gave the overflow to Children's of Alabama when we took them the proceeds from the events. The kids that have to spend some time in the hospital will greatly appreciate them.
Chic-Fil-A was again our breakfast donor; we did add some fruit, milk, chocolate milk, Orange Juice, Hot Chocolate and coffee to the mix.
We had the kids come in their Christmas P.J's, making it a pajama party-breakfast. It was awesome, they came in looking so precious in their P.J finest, and a couple even added their adorable robes. It was so cute seeing them all sitting around Santa in their P.J's playing games and telling stories then taking turns sitting on Santa's lap and giving him their Christmas wish lists, he gave them a candy cane in exchange for their letters.
They all got to take home their gift bags, crafts they made, a poinsettia for the house and some wonderful memories captured in some pretty cool pictures.
We would also like to thank Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church for allowing us to once again hold this very special event there and also thank Jennifer & Joey for coming out to join us and help with the activities.
