Our July 2014 cover bike is owned by Chris Ruble from Kansas City, Missouri. We had the opportunity to gather more information about Chris and his 2013 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, and we were also able to gather information from this month’s cover model Michelle.

CC: Chris, what is your occupation?
Chris: I’m a project manager for KCP&L.

CC: Do you have any hobbies other than riding your Street Glide?
Chris: Yes, I also enjoy racing motocross, skiing, basketball, and softball.

CC: Why do you ride?
Chris: I love the freedom of it and the camaraderie when I’m riding with a group. It’s also a great stress reliever and good therapy.

CC: How long have you been riding?
Chris: I’ve ridden and raced dirt bikes since I was 8 years old. About 5 years ago some of my motocross friends had switched over to street bikes and I thought I’d give it a try. I immediately fell in love with it and have been on a Harley ever since.

CC: What was your first bike?
Chris: It was a 2011 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide.

CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Chris: Two.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Chris: Just my Street Glide.

CC: What do you like most about your Street Glide we shot for this month’s cover?
Chris: I like the overall look of the bike from the big front wheel to the stretched bags and rear fender. I also like the clean look of the black and chrome.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Chris: I’m riding it right now!

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Chris: The trip to the Bikes, Blues and BBQ rally in Fayetteville, Arkansas last year. I had just gotten my Street Glide finished and rode it down there. The group that we went with was a lot of fun, and the rally and riding was a blast. Good times with great friends!

CC: Which motorcycle rallies and events have you attended, and which is your favorite?
Chris: I’ve been to Bikes, Blues and BBQ and Lake of the Ozarks Bike Fest. I have also ridden for Bikers for Babies and other charitable events. Bikes, Blues and BBQ was my favorite and has the best riding!

CC: What is your favorite bike night location?
Chris: Worth Harley-Davidson’s bike nights. Dollar beers, BBQ, and live music!

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Chris: I’d like to give a shout out to Huttenlocker, Kling, and Trigg.

CC: Thanks for the interview Chris, and thank you for letting us shoot your bike for this month’s cover.
