Our June 2015 cover bike is owned by Alan Fletcher from Amoret, Missouri. We had the opportunity to gather more information about Alan and his 2001 Harley-Davidson Super Glide, and we also gathered more information from this month’s cover model Melissa. CC: Alan, what is your occupation?
Alan: I own Fletcher’s Bar S Western Store in Blue Springs, Missouri, and 43 great years, I’m retiring and closing the store. Our entire inventory has been marked down, so if you’re looking for a great deal on famous name bands of boots and other western wear, make sure to stop by!

CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Alan: Yes, I also do cowboy work.

CC: Why do you ride? 
Alan: It’s great stress relief.

CC: How long have you been riding? 
Alan: I’ve been riding for years.

CC: What were your first bikes?
Alan: My first bikes were Yamaha YZ80, and a Harley-Davidson 250.

CC: How many bikes have you owned? 
Alan: I’ve owned 10 bikes.

CC: How many bikes do you currently own? 
Alan: I currently have three bikes. My 2001 Harley-Davidson Super Glide, a 2010 Harley-Davidson Ultra, and I still have my Harley-Davidson 250.

CC: What do you like most about your Super Glide?
Alan: It’s wild and fast.

CC: What is your dream bike?
Alan: I’d like to have a Harley-Davidson Police Road King.

CC: What is your most memorable riding experience? 
Alan: A group ride for suicide prevention called Mike’s Ride, which hits close to home.

CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, which is your favorite?

Alan: Sturgis is the granddaddy. I haven’t been there since the 50th Anniversary, but will be there this year for the 75th Anniversary.

CC: Do you have a favoite bike night location?
Alan: The Bar in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Great bartenders and great friends!

CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Alan: I like both.

CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?

Alan: Rich, Keith, Rich, John, Bill, Ronnie, Rich & Ronnie…and yes, that’s two different Richs’ and two different Ronnies’.

CC: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Alan: Yes, I’d like to thank Melissa for modelling on my bike, and I’d also like to thank Mike Schweder for featuring my bike on the June 2015 cover of Cycle Connections.
