CC: Rich, what is your occupation?
Rich: I’m the Safety Coordinator for a plastics manufacturer.
CC: Do you have hobbies other than motorcycling?
Rich: Yes, I also enjoy hunting, sports, and anything outdoors.
CC: Why do you ride?
Rich: Just to get outside and away from everything.
CC: How long have you been riding?
Rich: Most of my life on dirt bikes, and about three years on this thing.
CC: What was your first bike?
Rich: My first bike was a Honda Mini Trail 50.
CC: How many bikes have you owned?
Rich: I’ve owned four total.
CC: How many bikes do you currently own?
Rich: I currently have two. This thing and a 2015 Harley-Davidson Road King.
CC: What do you like most about your Road Glide?
Rich: It’s a little different than most standard street bikes, and riding it every day.
CC: What is your dream bike?
Rich: This one for now, but I like them all. I never get tired of seeing different types of bikes.
CC: What is your most memorable riding experience?
Rich: Running our little tristate trip through Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska, and riding with the group from Peterman’s Shamrock out of St. Joe.
CC: What is your least memorable riding experience?
Rich: Hitting a opossum with the front tire while in a turn on this thing on January 7, 2015. As you can tell, it still hurts, and the opossum lived to see another day, which makes it worse.
CC: To which motorcycle clubs and organizations do you belong?
Rich: I’m a member of the Jesse James Chapter of ABATE.
CC: Which motorcycle rallies & events have you attended, which is your favorite?
Rich: ABATE at Lake Perry and several charity rides. Two of my favorites are Ride 4 Ryan and Bikers for Babies in St. Joe.
CC: Do you have a favorite bike night hangout?
Rich: Yes, Peterman’s Shamrock in St. Joe. There’s a big group of awesome folks there, and everyone is welcome regardless of their ride.
CC: Do you prefer riding in a group or by yourself?
Rich: I like both. It depends on my mood at the time.
CC: Who are some of your closest riding buddies?
Rich: The group out of Peterman’s Shamrock, which are too many to list.
CC: Thanks for the interview Rich, and thank you for letting us shoot your bike for this month’s cover.
