Bell and Ace Cafe Release Limited Edition Helmets

Written by  April 21, 2016

Bell and Ace Cafe London are partnering up for a run of limited-edition motorcycling gear. First in line are two limited edition helmets that meld the iconic insignia of London’s Ace Café with the unmistakable profile of the Bell lids.

The first two helmets are the Ace Cafe Custom 500 and Bullitt Carbon.

The Ace Cafe Custom 500 is based on the legendary and much imitated Bell Custom 500 open-face helmet that has been re-engineered for modern motorcycling. A new headform makes the Custom 500 fit better and look smaller on the rider’s head. The helmet now comes in 5 shell and EPS sizes, making it easier to find the perfect fit.

The second helmet is the Bell Bullitt Carbon Ace Cafe Black Jack, which, in contrast to the Custom 500, is a full-face design. The Bell Bullitt inherits the classic Bell Star styling but adds modern comforts and safety. Constructed with a low-profile carbon fiber composite shell and multi-density EPS liner, the Bullitt comes in 3 shell sizes and offers micro-suede lining with leather trim, metal mesh circular intake vents with a rear exhaust vent and 3D cut cheek pads with speaker pockets.

“The release of the Ace Cafe Custom 500 and Bullitt is only the beginning of what is to come. We plan to collaborate on larger and more influential projects that will capitalize on our shared enthusiasm and passion for motorcycle culture,” said Chris Sackett, Vice President of Bell Helmets.

“This partnership between two of the motorcycle world’s original institutions is as authentic as it gets,” said Mark Wilsmore, Managing Director of Ace Cafe London. “Bell continues to develop state-of-the-art head protection, and the Ace Cafe remains at the forefront of British riding culture. Bell continues to be Ace Cafe’s most trusted brand for head protection, and it is with privilege and pride that we see the Ace’ mark on these great helmets.”
