Most of the regular venues were back up and running, however, the rush to a decision did leave a couple of them out. The City held up permits until the last minute, leaving some venues without a liquor license, like Lucky 13, also leaving rally goers without some of the cool stuff that's usually at that venue, like the best airbrush artist around; Michael Swann; no awesome artwork going back home this rally.
That sent everyone down to pack into Hammerhead Fred's and Ms Newby's, no complaints though; they would fill those places anyway.
The Miss Thunder Beach took on a slightly different approach and had a different look and name; "Miss P.C Beach Bikini Contest". Much of the concerts still were happening, it was just a little odd vibe going on. But even with all that, the bikers still rolled in, much of them even coming in early, because, like I said, people were ready to get out and ride AND hit the beach, so the beach was rumbling all weekend long with one of the largest turnouts of rally goers the beach had seen in a while.
We had our usual beach photographer down there to help bring in some really cool shots, Thanks Cindy Marsh
